Being a kid or teen can be tough! Many children go through times in their lives when they struggle in school and/or at home. Without the ability to cope with these challenges you often see behaviors and acting out that leaves you as the parent feeling concerned, even overwhelmed and feeling helpless at times. I work with children/teens directly and their families to address these areas of struggle and to support their emotional well being. With a clinical background in working with children and adolescence in the residential and foster system I have a deep understanding of the impact of trauma and pain and the role it plays in their lives as well as the effects of attachment injuries. I will often work to include the families in treatment and can also provide parenting support as well when needed.
